Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what we should be sure to see in Bermuda? The cruise gives us several days there to explore.

You should definitely make it to Gibbs Hill Lighthouse--especially after 3 pm to enjoy a wonderful service of afternoon tea. Visit Horseshoe Bay, the Natural Archers, tak a Wildcat boat tour of the island--2hrs and worth every cent of your $55, stroll downtown Hamilton for an hour, eat lunch at the HogPenny, visit several south shore beaches, snorkel in Tobacco Bay (St. Goerges)

There really is a wide variety of activities in Bermuda from history to nature. Bermuda is very easy to traverse on your own. The public transportation system is excellent. You can purchase a three day pass for under $30.00 which provides unlimited bus and ferry transportation. The personnel of the transportation company were very helpful in directing us to the correct route and letting us know when it was time to get off.

All of this really doesn't answer your question. There is St. Georges which is filled with historic sights, at least one museum and several churches. There is Kings Wharf which was the base for the British Navy. It has a maritime museum, a dolphin encounter program, a refurbished commanders home which also serves as a museum for the naval yard as well as a shopping area with craft demonstrations including a glass blowing shop. There is a botanical garden. Bermuda also has a small but impressive aquarium with nature center (zoo). There are cave tours. Of course there are a variety of beaches.

Learn to drive moped if you have not done so. You can rent a moped and drive around the island. CAUTION, native drive left side of road, you know, the British way and get used to the Roundabouts, it is a doozy. Some of the roads are made of corals, you fall, and you will get bruises and big cuts. Be sure to visit Pink Beach, I still have a small bottle of sand from there. Please remember Bermudians are very British, get used to their custom and have a wonderful visit, I was stationed not too long ago.
