HERE is a link to Aer lingus's web page about free baggage allowance and charges that will incur if your overweight. Scroll down to "Economy Class to/from USA".
Yes, there are plenty of hangers. If not, all you have to do is ask your cabin steward for more.
hey sonny, that only applies on aer lingus if going from u.s. since leaving from barcelona, there is a per bag charge. 9euro in advance, 12 euro on day of.....makes me sad. but, i won't be sad in 11 days!!!! woo hoo
I thought they were all the same. I'm flying from Barcelona to Dublin, then to Chicago. I don't know why the airlines don't all have the same regulations on luggage. My wife can't pack less than 48lbs. per bag.
Sonny are you taking the morning or evening flight on Aer Lingus. We are leaving early and taking the shuttle provided by the ship. 27 a person didn't seem to bad because 4 yrs ago the cab was over 70 and the dollar was worth more then.
HELLO ALL! 10 days......i've had all year to prepare, and now i seem to be struggling to get everything done on time. i see the euro is coming down a little bit... sonny, i had forgotten that you too were going to dublin--really cool. are you spending any time there? i weighed one packed bag last nite, and realized i am way over weight-(pun intended) i guess i'll need to get rid of the dozens of shoes i wanted to bring! lol angel
sonny.....have an airport guinness! it'll be like you were there for weeks!! lol gosh, i can't believe we are really going in 8 days! it's been a pipe dream for so long now, that the reality of it seems like a fantasy still. casey& kathy....i really hope to meet ya'll on board. perhaps we can meet up in dublin somehow. there is just soooo much to do over there, it seems. see ya'll next week! angel
Have either of you given any concideration of what cruise you might book while on board? Even though I know I can't afford it. I like to book on board for the credit. Were thinking of the Sernede when it moves freom PR to do Alaska. They have not released the sailing yet so I should be able to get a bump cabin if I stay on top of it now it's just figuring out how to pay for it.See you all in a week and lets all hope the weather gets better Casey
Casey, when you book a "Next Cruise Booking" aboard the Navigator, the booking is for any cruise, on any ship, at any time in the future. You can purchase a NCB for only $100, and when you decide what ship and date, you then pay the rest of the down payment, which will be $250 per person minus the money for the NCB. Talk to me about it on the ship. I'm not buying a NCB because I have a back-to-back booked on the Mariner in Octorber; plus, I have two next cruise bookings waiting to be used.
hoping to also pre book something....leonard's only destinations that he would consider cruising to would be alaska, or south america. being that this is my 1st cruise, i hope to like it enough to book one.
Angel have you bought an adapter yet. I was on Rick Steves web page and he says Ireland uses the 3 prong adapter, cost about 4 dollars. I still have to get one so I can recharge my camera and Kathy's hairdryer will work.I don't think there is enough time to get it shipped Casey
Can't wait to get to FLL friday. It's about 60 degrees here and windy. We change planes in Houston so hopefully we will miss some of this extreme weather some places are having.May you all have a safe flight and a drink in your hand when I see you onboard Casey
Thank's, We hope you have a safe trip too. We're flying out on Friday also. We're spending the night in Miami. Here it's 38 degrees and pouring rain right now. Why do the last few days go by the slowest?…I need to hug a palm tree!
