I made the final payment, and now they dropped the price of the balcony cabins! I'll be getting a credit for the difference in price and I'll be saving a lot of money.

hi sonny! thank you for putting us at your table.....i saw that our reservations are linked. i know that you and esther are worried about the sea days........BUT.....hoping you'll reconsider 2nd seating as our only perk on this cruise is the concierge lounge. and would hate to miss out on it. it's getting close to cruising time, and angel and i are excited. let me know what you decide, and thanks.
If you want second seating it's no problem to change your seating. We always chose second seating for the same reason. I was just thinking there was enough time before, and after dinner to have a few drinks. I'll talk it over with my wife, but she wanted to try the first seating. Would you want me to set your reservation for the first? We still will get together at times on the ship.
Hi Angel, It sounded as if Leonard wanted to be in the second seating. My question is--does he want me to change the seating from the first to the second? It's up to you.
Hi Sonny,it's looks like we to will be joining you on this sailing.RCCL just made this trip to cheap to pass up.We are from the SF bay area and never done a crossing. The only way I could get my wife to go is by getting a stopover in Ireland on the way home. Lets hope for good weather. We did the europe 3 years ago on Brilliance and looking forward to returning
It's our first transatlantic too. I'm looking forward to seeing something other than the Caribbean ports. It will be our 44th cruise on RCCL, and this by far has been the best deal. We'll have to keep in touch so we can meet on the ship.
I'm looking forward to this because of the sea days,no presure to do anything. This will be our 23rd on RCCL and we were getting burned out on going to the same places each time.Do you plan to spend time in Barcelona? We found it amazing. You realize how young a country the US is after spending some time there.
Once on the cruise, we may book another 5 nights. That way we would spend the day in Barcelona. We have to wait and see how my wife's parents are doing ... they're under 24 hour home nursing care. Three weeks may be too long of a time for us to be away.
sonny-we are great with the seating arrangements as is--like you said, we can always change it later! we are on CST-so 6pm is 5pm to us......but the sea air, and the activities will probably have us starving by then anyway. thank you for all of your help and advice thru this crazy first cruise of ours. do you and esther enjoy wine? we're not connessoirs or anything, was just curious. the "wine-tastings" seemed like it might be enjoyable. but to the point, if you guys do like wine---we'd love to buy you a bottle for our first dinner, a little celebrating seems in order! angel & leonard
Esther and I aren't true wine drinkers. I notice that RCCL is offering a longer list of choices for your suite or stateroom than they ever did before. Now I can have my Asti Spumanti or White Zinfandel in my room; this will be a first. We also like plum wine, which is usually served in Chinese restaurants. We always do the wine tasting event; with all the cruises we've been on, you'd think we would know something about wine by now. I'm starting to get a little excited about the cruise now. I'm glad I made the right toss.
yes-into ft lauderdale, staying at laquinta suites. got a bargain on the internet. if for any reason you are unable to find a room- ours has a sofa bed! miami hotel prices are generally more expensive than ft lauderdale, but, you are a savvy traveler-so you knew that. hotel is less than a mile from airport and pier---or maybe 1.5 miles. hoping to have dinner at the cheesecake factory-as we don't have one in memphis. awesome restaurant (for a chain)
Yeah, it does seem that way. We're not getting in Miami until 8pm, so it's probably a better idea to get a hotel near the airport, and take a taxi to Port Everglades in the morning. I'll see want kind of deals come up. I usually do great with Priceline about a week before the cruise date. It's all part of the fun of cruising... .
I see you said 2 of Kathy's favorite words Asti Spumante.Do you know if the conciere keeps that in his bar.I normally end up there before dinner with friends while she gets ready, but that would sure help my bar bill
I don't think you'll find asti in the Concierge Lounge—it would be great if they added it thought. We'll probably meet in the lounge, I usually get there shortly after 5. I'll be happy to buy you a drink!
Hi Angel & Leonard & Sonny, did either of you happen to buy euros a couple of weeks ago? I'm kicking myself now because I talked to B of A 2 weeks ago and they were 143 to the dollar and now it's over 151. I know I will get a better rate here than on the ship and since were spending a week in Ireland before returning home.I wonder now if I should roll the dice and wait, the Dollar keeps falling
