Ahoy Mates-anyone in this chatroom booked for the 1/26/08 Southern Caribbean cruise on the Gem?

My husband and I will be there. We are from Gatineau, Quebec.

ShaggyLady-We are from central Connecticut and will be taking our second NCL cruise. Last year we cruised on the Norwegian Dawn and enjoyed it so much that we booked for the Gem within 24 hours into the cruise! Are you prior NCL passengers?

This will be our third cruise - all three with NCL.

We were also on the GEM last January and booked this cruise while on board.

We can hardly wait.

This year, we booked through a travel agent that had a group with him - they seemed to have a lot of fun.

This will be the first time that we cruise without friends/family - should be enjoyable with a group. We can opt to join in activities or not.

Are you cruising with friends or are you on your own?

Would be nice to meet you - probably at the Latitude reception which takes place on the first few days of the cruise for past passengers.

You must mean you were on another NCL ship last Jan (perhaps the Pearl, a sister to the upcoming Gem). The Gem is sailing on it's inaugural sailing mid-December of this year. I know because I'm booked on her for her first voyage from NY.

You are absolutely right. We were on the DAWN last January when we booked this upcoming trip on the GEM.
