Just returned from Carnival Sp[irit Alaska Cruise. My wife utilizes a battery powered scooter because of mobility problems with her legs. Have used scooter three times previously including on same ship last July. Issue is that this time Carnival & Allen Marine (provider of Sea Otter tours in Sitka refused to allow scooters or powered wheelchairs to be taken on tenders. This means that handicapped passengers can not take shore excursions in tender ports This apparently does not apply in ports where ship docks.

I am so sad to hear of this new Policy and the dissapointment it caused. Does it really mean that handicapped passengers can't board tenders? Or are they just limiting motorized extra for the tenders? They usually are very attentive to Handicap Passengers.

Best to you,
IslandCruz
