Hi I plan on taking my first cruise in May on the Carnival Miracle. I'm wondering do all the rooms have raised toilet seats and grab bars in the bathroom? Is it something I have to request? Are there certain rooms I should avoid? Thanks so much.

Forever - I just got off the Miracle about a month ago. I had a balcony room (7196) and can't exactly remember if there was a grab bar, but I do have a picture of the bathroom at home, so I can check for you. What I do remember, and I'm not sure if this will help you at all, is that the sink was very close to the toilet - that way, you can use it to prop yourself up if you need.

Ever ship I have been on I can remember a grab bar being there. But the "raised toilet seat" part may be subjective. If in doubt, it would be safest to ask when you book your cabin. They have cabins with handicap accessable bathrooms. I don't know if they have various types of accessible or not (assuming you don't need one big enough for a wheelchair or something.
