Hi, I would like to go on the Grand Princess British Isles Southampton cruise that leaves 6/7/08. They have wheelchair cabins available. Could anyone tell me what they look like inside and how big the bathrooms are. Also how easy is it disembarking at a port with an electric wheelchair? Also are the land excursions electric wheelchair accessible?

Thanks, Bev

The rooms are a little larger than a regular room. The bathroom is sufficient but not huge. I do not recommend disembarking by yourself in any type of chair as the ramps can be very steep. Be sure and have the crew assist you. Most excursions, even private ones, are not compatible with an electric wheelchair due to its size and weight. Rent a manual chair for your offboard excursions.
