Hey, it looks like you guys missed me Smile - I have been away for awhile and see there hasn't been too much activity in this particular forum. So here is a new question to ponder:

I posted a message in the singles forum, but since I am planning another cruise for my mother and me, any suggestions for which of these class ships is better suited for wheelchair accessibility and handicap facilities?

Hi Suzi,
Sorry no one has responded to this post yet. I have thought about your question and while both class of ships receive high marks for their accessibility and facilities, I think I would lean toward the Voyager class for one reason. There are a limited number of elevators on the Radiance class. For some reason there is not a bank of elevators situated on the aft of the ship. This makes getting to the venues on the aft end of the ship sometimes a very long trek.

Actually, Nancy is correct. I checked my trusty Berlitz guide (Raoul introduced me to this particular page in another post) and it appears that the Voyager class ships are given an A (Recommended as most suitable for wheelchair passengers) while Radiance class ships are only iven a B (Reasonably accessible for wheelchair passengers)

Celebrity also ranked A's in their Millennium class ships. The Norwegian Star and Star Princess were the other two mass market ships that received "A"s.
