Hi Bill!
While I use a walker and not a wheelchair, I would recommend Celebrity 100%. They bend over backwards to help the handicapped people. We weren't able to get a handicapped stateroom or even see one for that matter, but all the wheelchair people appeared very happy. Doors in staterooms were wider, and very easy to open, and stayed open when pushed back.

Second choice is Princess. Saw a post about Prisendam. Heard it was very bad after refurbishing,

Hi Sue
Thanks for the good word about Celebrity.
I have heard nice things about them.
My problem is we need a wash machine and
they unlike Princess,Carnival and Holland
America for some reason don't have them. I know
they take your cleaning etc but with my
problems we prefer a washer and dryer. Bill

For the last four years, since my wife became disabled, we've cruised seven times. Most on
Princess, and one each on RCI and Celebrity - Summit. To date, no problems with any of the above. The crew is always willing to help, the HP
cabins are accessible and if there are minor glitches, all I do is ask our steward and, presto,it is done in a heart beat. The same in the Restaurant or ( Hm ) Casino and upper decks.

To add another $.5!
BILL, I aggree with you regarding the loundry.
To our surprise, we found Summit does not have it and for our eleven day cruise, wife and I
have simply washed our own stuff and placed it on our balcony to dry. Granted, it looked as a"refugee camp" but I think no one cared in the middle of the Caribbean. Oh yes, we purchased
a little detergent box in Panama City for $1.00
(instead of using Summit's service 20 X as much.)
Princess always has a loundry and all one has to buy is a $.50 soap envelope!
