I am in hog heaven - really! My shipment from Nueske's arrived today. I had run out of their great bacon and hot dogs. Applewood smoked. Man, it is good. You've never had bacon until you tried their stuff.
I also got some kringle this time - made in Racine! Raspberry and cherry (two of each).
I do too. I checked their site and it sounds like really good products. This also just may have solved my Father's Day gift dilemma. He loves smoked meats too. I had to look up what a kringle was.

You really have to like smoked meats though, because the Nueske's stuff is rather "strong". Just frying their bacon makes the kitchen smell like a smokehouse.
We were on a 3-night cruise this past weekend. The island BBQ on the private island ran from 11-1. We got on line at 12:15 and they had already run out of ribs! The horror!
Now I'm sitting in the Delta Island section of the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, reading your message about smoked meats, and now I HAVE to find ribs. Bye.
So what IS kringle? Is it something Kris Karries at Kristmas?
Dave, I bought a Kringle last year from a place that they had on Road Tasted, the Dean boys. I'll have to find the name, it was hand made, had a ton of butter, and was so wonderful.
