That kid flattens me everytime I hear him sing. Apparently he's had a bit of a musical upbringing as well with his peeps in Salt Lake. He's been well looked after, and well marketed all along the way. Let's face it, AI is looking for product...not prodigy. It's just that in Archuleta's case, they just happened to have gotten both. |

I have to admit that Archuleta has the better voice but Cook has him beat hands down in overall talent and originality. Archuleta seems to only be able to accomplish what his father programs him to do. David A. has performed on two different televised singing shows and his father has been banned from being in backstage rehearsals on both occasions.

Congrats to David Cook! This was the best American Idol season I've seen. David Cook, David Archuleta, and Michael Johns were the best in my opinion.

I agree! I loved all the performances. It was hard to have a take on who was going to win. I thought it would most likely be David A. I am like Simon though, and really wasn't pulling for either one at the end. They are both amazing singers. And yes, Michael Johns was voted off way too early IMHO.
