Having recently returned from the same time zone (CEST), I can confirm Dave's response. It is a 7-hour difference for you (and others on CDT).

This is my favorite site for converting time zones: http://www.timeanddate.com/. Have fun!

Cool Lisa, thanks! When I am in Alaska visiting, I forget about calling my mom here at home to check on her until around 9pm. Well she would kill me then, its midnight here. The first time we took a trip out there, my cellphone rang at 5am in Anchorage. I answered and it was our police department wanting to know if we could come and help with traffic for the Memorial Day Parade (we are police reserves). I told the officer it would take me a while to get there, and when he asked how long, I told him about 8 hours. That is when he realized we were on vacation. That time change can be a killer sometimes.

When I was working on tankers, we crossed the date line several times. On eastbound voyages we had the same day twice, and on westbound we lost a day.

I remember crossing time zones when I was in the U.S. Navy. It could get annoying as far as our log entries and keeping up with our requirements for sampling the reactor coolant and the steam plant water, which were set to specific time frequencies. I'd always have to pause and think, "has it been 3 or 4 hours since the last sample?"

And they say you can't add days to your life! You have disproved it.

We went to Germany on vacation this summer. Hamburg and Lubeck.

Weather was lousy, we crashed our car and it seems to me most germans still don't speak much english, and I need at least 3 beers to make my german up and go Big Grin

But apart from that we had a great time Smile

Funny thing, my hubby got his car stuck on a high curb and the Police came to help him. The dummy had just left an Octoberfest, and needless to say he ended up in jail until he sobered up.

Raoul if there was a way to send you some of our summer weather I would. It was 102 again today here in central NC. We have not had any rain since the last of July. Eek
