Just kidding, I have never been a big fan, probably because I live in a warmer climate and it is not that popular. However, We have alot of northern transplants, and Canadian visitors where I live. So I do find myself watching and cheering for them when I go to the sports bar.
It has been fun watching the Red Wings play.

Hockey is fun to watch when they actually skate and not fight. I like the farm teams better than the pros because they don't fight as much. UAH has a college hockey team that's good. But for a pro team, I'll have to root for the Avalanche.
Do you play pro hockey Mike? I might have heard of your college team, since UAH (University of Alabama-Huntsville) plays out of state a lot. Not that many hockey teams in Alabama.
My team has been the Detroit Red Wings from birth !! No other choice in my house, and we had 4 kids, 3 girls and my brother all playing travel hockey for years. It was a great way to grow up, be a team player, and save for the next big tournament !! NOW CRUISING...but still travel now and again, it's so fun to see your team in another arena ! GREAT TOPIC!

Yup, Penny - Binghamton is upstate (western) NY. I'm proud to say that it is a very good school, and that it is getting harder to get into every year.

Have to love those Boston Bruins and for a college favorite it would be the Univ of Maine Black Bears and locally it would be the Maineiacs, a QMJHL team.
That would be Quebec Major Junior Hockey League; 16 to 20 years of age aspiring to play one day (Sidney Crosby played in this league) in the NHL. This is the only team that is currently outside of Canada. Sorry for the delay Penny3333.
