What do you think about my zipline idea. They could build a windproof staircase, and then out you go. After signing your waiver, of course.

Lori - I think a zipline across the top of the ship would be AWESOME! Not sure how they would pull it off, but it would be pretty sweet if they did. Maybe even do it "superman style", with the riders on their belly, face first.
OR, one of those catapult type things you see at Six Flags - almost like a giant slingshot. You get strapped into a seat, then they pull you towards the ground to tension the elastic wires, then let you go and you shoot into the air and bounce around. I know I didn't describe that well, but I think anyone who has seen it will know what I'm talking about.

They already have the bungy trampoline on Enchantment of the Seas.

Has anyone actually seen, or participated in, the bungy trampoline? I've sailed Enchantment twice since the re-do where they added bungy jumping, but I've never seen anyone do it.

The bungee/catapult thing I mentioned is a bit different - think MUCH bigger. Similar, but there is no trampoline, and the bungee cords are attached to a harness/chair you sit in, instead of a belt around you waist. You are then launched 100 ft or so into the air. Yeah, it is prob unrealistic for a cruise, but still a cool idea.

Not that the bungee trampoline isn't cool - I would totally try that, too.

Hey Dave, If they're going to do the naming celebration before releasing the first Project Genesis for new bookings this fall, aren't they cutting it a little close? That's a lot of cabins to sell and I haven't even heard a date for the naming yet. I know it will sell fast but they're running out of time fast.

Cheers, Neil

Dave-Getting back to your April Fool's Day comments about Genesis Class having a Soccer Field-Doesn't a boxing ring qualify as a "Socker Field"????

Yes, but it isn't new on the Genesis! The Freedom class has boxing rings. Cool

I did the bungee trampoline at Six Flags over Georgia once. Kinda fun but they also have the "Fearless Freeps Dare Devil Dive." That was much more exhilirating. It's basically a ten story free fall and a.. well... Heck, just watch the video.

drlivingston-We cruised on the Enchantment in Dec. 05 shortly after she had been refitted with the bungee trampoline on the bow and the two suspension arches midships. The bungee trampolines were very much in use by the passengers and the crewmembers off duty-we did not try!
