Yep, our beautiful son arrived, one week overdue, last Wednesday october 31st at 1458 local time Smile

I'm a proud and happy father but also already buried with wories! Does he eat well, sleep well, breathe well?

I'm sure all of you can give me some advice on parentingSmile

Anyway - being there at my son's birth is the biggest moment of my life!

Congratulation's!!! Yes being at the birth of your child or grandchild can not be beat.

We took our first born back to the doc worried about him always sleeping, never crying, just not doing all the things we expected. Doc told us to count our blessing. The second one made sure we were up allot!! They are all different enjoy the ride.

Congratulations Svein. I am waiting for my cousin to have her baby, she is now officially 5 days overdue. She says she is so uncomfortable. I can't wait to see the baby, first boy born in this family in 25 years. Her parents have 5 granddaughters.

Svein, congratulations and welcome to the Wonderful, Wild and Wacky World of Parenthood! There's never a dull moment, I can tell you that.

Parents of second children report that they're much more relaxed with the second child, less worried, not analyzing every sneeze and snort. The trick is to act that way with the first child! Just ask your doctor for some advice about when you should call the doctor, and if none of that is going on, relax and enjoy him.

I hope you can post a picture of the baby and the happy family. How is Mama doing?

Sandy

Svein, just saw this and wanted to give you Congratulations also. Nothing like that newborn baby!!

Enjoy every minute as they grow fast and before you know it, they are teens, then married and you are a grandparent.

Svein, let me offer my belated congratulations. I am not a father yet but I am hoping to attain that lofty title some time soon. Best of luck to you and your family. Make sure to get some sleep when you can and try not to think about how much universities will cost many years from now.

Congratulations to you and your wife on the birth of your son. My only advice is "Don't Blink"my children are 22, 19, & 17 and the time sure has just flown by.

by the way...what part of Norway are you from? I am of Norweigian decent, my great grandparents were both from Voss and I still have cousins that live there.

Congrats again,
Tracy

Thanks doc Smile He's actually a very good boy (very objective opinion of course Smile ) that sleeps nicely as long as he is not starving. And when he does, he lets us know so we know he's getting enough food.

I'm not worried over the costs of university as they are practically free here in Norway(well, we all pay for it through our taxes), but me and my wife is worried about almost every other thing Smile I guess that's the life of a parent.

tracy you're so right! Even the few weeks he's been here with us the time has been passing so fast. And everybody keeps telling us how we must cherish the moment because before you know it they're grown up.

I grew up in the middle part of Norway, close to Trondheim, but now I live in a town called Tonsberg (actually the oldest town in Norway), about an hour south of Oslo.

Yes, Svein, the life of a parent never seems to get easier. The things to worry about simply change! Our son is about 2.5 years away from being old enough to drive, and that is going to be a stressful time for us.

Yeah, that's what strikes us too! Every period in his life will have different worries. Right now it's limited to food related things and the color of his poop Big Grin
