I don't think this has been brought up, but what is everyone's "must go to" port or vacation?

My cruise of a life time was Galapagos Islands. We went last summer. We went with a tour group. It was 16 passengers in a boat, and we sailed around the islands for 7 nights. We were so close to the dolphins swimming next to the boat, they were getting us wet. One of the advantages of a small boat. Big Grin Anyways, we saw red, black, white (really white), and green sand beaches. And of coarse all the wonderful wildlife. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! ThumbUp Lil' Lori.

I don't think I can beat Lil' Lori's cruise, it sounds wonderful. I've done the Mexican Riviera, Southern Caribbean and Alaska's Inside Passage. I think I liked Alaska the best, but I loved them all.

It does sound wonderful! I think I am going to stick to the Caribbean from now on. Baja and Mexican Riviera are just Mexico. I like Mexico but in the Caribbean you visit multiples of cultures, languages and geography. You can hear Dutch, French, and Spanish spoken in any number of islands. JMO

I live in a beutiful spot, in the area known as "cottage country" on Georgian Bay which is the favourite vacation spot for a great many people. But for my vacation, I like to just go somewhere different. My favourite so far was the Alaskan cruise, a week in Funchal Madeira, and two weeks in the Channel Islands (Guernsey & Jersey).

The Caribbean, and my favorite islands are: Dominica, Grenada, Tortola, Bonaire, and St. John. I really do love them all. Is there any other vacation besides cruising? Big Grin

Venice, hands down; most beautiful city to sail into or out of, and the easiest to get around. Not to mention, most romantic, most vibrant and most culturally stimulating.
