Im US-Forum fand ich dieses Text zu dem angeblich betrunkenen Kapitän eines amerikanischen Kreuzfahrtschiffes in Alaska.
Dabei fielen mir die Zahlenangaben <0.04> und <0.08> auf.
Weiß jemand, ob die <0.08> unseren 0,8 Promille entsprechen?


Apparently the Coast Guard was checking the ship and they noticed the Captain was tipsy. Bear in mind that the rules are more restrictive for ships officers. 0.04 is their legal limit, as opposed to 0.08 for most U.S. drivers. Officers are also not supposed to drink within 8 hours of going on watch.

Hallo Uwe,

die Amerikaner kennen/verwenden "Promille" nicht sondern nur "percent", somit sind die Zahlen 4 bzw 8 Hundertstel Prozent, was unseren 0,4 bzw 0,8 Promille entspricht.
