Hi Lisbon, is wonderful, my wife worked on the Ship, and I got permission from the Captain to take her out to propose (thanks Pantelis) so it is special, very civilised, good architecture etc.
Lanzarote, go to Playa del Carmen just a long road with the beach on one side, shops restuarants, and bars on the other, or visit the old harbour area, dont bother with ariciffe.
Tenerife, El Corte Englais, is a Harrods style store, good shopping, the common tour on all the island is to visit a volcano or cave you will be on the wet side of the island, so a trip to the oratavia valley full of flowers is good.
grand C as above.
La palma small good Tapas near the harbour eat chipperoni fried babby squid, abbondingas, meat balls, also tripe is good.
Madeira good coffee in the little parade of shops, just as you get of, also the wine shop near the coffee shop is as cheap and good as anywere on the Island, it has pictures on the wall of various crew. I drive over the mountain to the other side of the Island to eat, very good meat pastille de nada a small cake good all over portugal, there is a red wine that is aged in old Madeira caskets that is fantastic cant remeber the name, some of the spellings are not accurate.

No Chef it is a Burgundy Style wine, and has along finish in the mouth with a slight Vanilla taste, and is the perfect wine to go with some of the best aged meat I have eaten also the local cheese, if you are interested I will contact Carlos a Port agent in Madeira, who purchased it.Kalo Taxidi
