Yes tekdiva, you should have everything by now. Did you book through Princess or a travel agent? If you book through Princess the packet comes directly to you; if through an agent to will go to the agent, who will then forward it to you. This may be why it's taking a little longer.
Final payment is due 75 days out, and if you have completed the paperwork online you can print out your boarding pass then. I usually get the packet (luggage tags, shore excursion booklet, Cruise Answer Book) 6-8 days after final payment.
You should probably call your agent or Princess.

I paid everything in January; updated my personalizer with passport information earlier this month; and purchased transfers. I have even reserved my shore excursions (do I have to pay for those up front?).
I did call my TA who said that I should get them 2 to 3 weeks before sailing. After I got off the phone it occured to me that I am leaving 5 days before my cruise. So I will call the TA back (and maybe Princess) and remind them of that. Oh yeah I have even sent in my non-Princess air form... I have printed my boarding pass etc but I wanted to make sure I had my luggage tags... Maybe I need to give them the address where I will be before the cruise.... Thanks.
The shore excursions will be on your shipboard account. Unlike some cruise lines, Princess dosen't post your charges until the day you disembark.
I would not have them forward your tags to another address; too much of a chance for a screw up. I really don't know what the hold up is. Since you have a TA don't call Princess--they will just tell you to call your TA; I don't think they like to get in the middle between agent and client.
Just remind your TA that you are leaving early and you want the materials before you go. There is a lot of good information in the Cruise Answer Book.
But even if you don't get the tags, don't worry--the transfer personnel will have extras.

Hi tekdiva, If you are waiting on the mailed documents, your TA is probably correct about the mailing date. You should get them way before the 5 days. No worries.

Well, f-mattox, I think I have you beat! We booked our first Alaska cruise in 11/06. Since we had to cancel last May and then rebook, we have waited a year and a half. What's that, about 545 days? But our trip is only 43 days away now! And the waiting has been unbearable.
We have consoled ourselves by shopping for Caribbean cruises while awaiting our Alaska cruise. We are booked on the Jewel of the Seas for January 9th. Two cruises in one year--yipee!!
Yes Nadine, that's the record for sure. And having to cancel at the last minute made it even worse. But you found the cure--take about it here and book more cruises. No please be careful.

My husband teases me and says he has an alternate traveling partner lined up because he isn't missing Alaska this year! (At least I hope he's teasing!)
Believe me, I am being VERY careful. (Dave, I know you hate those capital letters, but I just had to do it!)
YAY!!!! I got my documents today! Actually the only thing I really needed were the luggage tags. But now that I got my docs I can safely panic that I have nothing done! lol
