Ole! Fun, Fun all the way. Our group went Mexican Riviera cruisin' and FUN it was. This was our 19th cruise and the magnetic attraction to cruising is definitely the ship's great staff. For the price, a few places on land will offer the impeccable service that's almost beyond compare. Can't decide on the entree, dessert? They bring anything that the confused guest will hint. They bring it with generous smile and gracious appreciation of your patronage. In all our cruises, we address the staff by their names & they reciprocate your humane courtesy to them by remembering your needs especially at the dining rooms or public venues. One evening, our dining room manager surprised us with a singing waiter, Pavarotti style, complete with fine wine, courtesy of the management. It's Princess professionalism par excellence.
Where's the party place beside the disco? Pele & Co at the Wheelhouse Lounge was hella hoppin'. We supported their showmanship & they partied with us to excitement. Guest appreciation night at the fountain main lobby is a hit. Yes, samba, line-dance, cha-cha slide, boogie-woogie with the staff.. FUN it is! Cruising is basically group interactions. Yes, there is FUN in numbers as the laughter is multiplied hundred-fold with cruisers-your newfound friends. Your involvement makes a difference...in your life. A group member vigorously egged-on our group to check out the top deck party. In turn, we pushed him on & yelled loudly that it tipped the clap-o-meter to win the Senior Sea Princess title. FUN it was and we shared the prize champagnes at dinner.
Cruising, we love it! Nobody on earth will guarantee you happiness in life or at cruises except the person's own mind set. Nobody knows you at cruises. Let go of your inhibitive inner shell & join in... "You may be just one in this world, but to somebody.. YOU are the world".
You sound like an ad for Carnival, the "Fun Ships"! Only you were on a different line... goes to show that, though each cruise line has its own style, there is still something for nearly everybody on many different cruise lines. I'm glad you had such a good time - and you're right, enjoying a cruise is totally up to you!
