Hi aussiechick7, welcome to Cruise-Chat. We have been on the Aloha deck, the Baja deck, and the Caribe deck. They are all nice cabins. The Aloha is closer to the buffets, the other decks are closer to the casino. We noticed no additional noise from the pool areas. Hope you enjoy Princess as much as we do, and once again, welcome aboard!
My wife was just on Golden Princess in October and had cabin A706 and loved the cabin and the location, which of course I selected for her. Your balcony is covered and more private than the others; and you are right near the rear elevators and stairs. And you are steps away from my favorite part of the ship, the Terrace Pool, Outrigger Bar and Horizon Court buffet.
Have a wonderful cruise.

We would like to know if there are any inside rooms we should stay away from; we are considering the Hawaii cruise over Christmas and New Years; we have to choose our cabin and are not sure which deck to be on or what rooms to stay away from ; we dont' want to be below a dance floor or dining area; any suggestions? thank you

Hello betty45, and welcome to cruise-chat. What a wonderful way to spend the Holidays--a cruise to Hawaii.
If I were selecting an inside cabin for myself I would avoid Plaza and Emerald decks because you have public areas above or below you--not that we hear many complaints about noise. And I would avoid cabins near the self-service laundramats; those areas can be noisy and congested--and unusually warm and humid.
For me personally the "sweet spot" would be Caribe deck, midship, from C507 to about C524. You are close to the midship elevators and stairs and have cabins above and below you.
Stay in touch. Let us know what you decide.
Have a great Holiday.
Rick
