Hi, my wife and I are sailing on 14 night Hawaii cruise. What kind of weather can we expect or more to the point will my wife get a tan? Is christmas and new year a goodtime to sail?

if you look at the thread right near yours called "Hawaii", I think you will find your answer.

In short, it's a great time to sail. It will be cool the first couple of days out and the last couple on the way back; but the Islands will be beautiful--warm and balmy.

Thanks for the advice, just hope that it is everytthing my wife expects. We have only sailed with RCL and have had great trips. just hope this is as good. Are xmas.new year celebrations good? Also is cabin b733 covered> Thanks for your help Eddie

Hi Eddie, welcome to Cruise-Chat. Hope you enjoy Princess as much as we do. The balconies on the Baja Deck are covered, it's a great deck. Best wishes for a fantastic cruise!

eddie, this will give you an idea of the relative position of the balconies.

Baja Deck is at eye level; balconies are covered by the balconies above on Aloha Deck.

Caribe Deck balconies, below, are partially covered.

Dolphin Deck balconies, at the bottom, are completely uncovered.

The ships are decorated beautifully. They usually serve a great turkey dinner (one selection on the menu), the staff wore santa/elf attire, and we received a stocking with some candy in it on our last Christmas Cruise on Princess. We received some panettone on board Costa-yummo! We've not been on board for New Years before, so I don't know what they do special for that. I'll find out soon, though
