I leave for my cruise on the Golden Princess in 19 days! I've read posts discussing this topic, but please refresh my memory. My cruise is scheduled to depart at 4:00 p.m. Are staterooms available by 1:00 p.m. (+/-)? When can I expect the luggage to arrive at my stateroom? Others have said to pack clothes to wear to dinner in my carry-on. Maybe I will take that advice.

It is always recommended to pack a change of clothes in your carry on in case your suitcases take longer or get lost. Generally it should take a few hours, but occasionally it takes longer. Rooms usually are ready around 1:00PM. Sometimes earlier, sometimes a little later. It all depends on how things went with the disembarkation on the cruise prior to yours.

Your luggage most likely will arrive in time for diner but if you have the extra room in your carry on it might make you feel more comfortable if your luggage is lost (rare).
No matter what your waring when you board would be acceptable for the first evenings meal.
