Can anyone who has done this, please give me their opinion. We arrive in Los Angeles Cruise Ship terminal on 15 May on Sapphire Princess. It is the only ship in port that day. We hope t fly out of Long Beach Airport 10 miles east at 10.30 am. Is this possible?

thanks for any help.

This means you are on the 29 day Sydney to Los Angeles cruise; what a magnificent trip! A trip of a lifetime.
I am not aware of any Express Disembarkation on Princess where, like some other lines, you carry your own bags off; and I can't imagine anyone doing that after a 29 day cruise.
What you can do is MAKE SURE Princess has your return flight information; they give priority to those with the earliest flights.
You should be off the ship, through customs and on your way to the airport by 9:00; a comfortable margin for a 10:30 flight (as long as it is not an international flight).

You are right, we are on the Sydney/LA Cruise and can't wait! If we don't get the 10.30 flight on JetBlue we have to wait till 5.00pm and as we are meeting up with our friends in Chicago, that makes it very late getting in.

We don't mind taking our own luggage, used to it really. We are from Perth in Western Australia and meeting up with our friends from NY in Chicago. Another reason why we want to get there as early as possible is that we have booked our accommodation through Hotwire and I need to be there for us all to check in.

We think it will be easier to fly out of LB rather than LAX on Southwest.

Do we just tell Princess onboard that we need the earliest disembarkation?

Yes!
There will be a place for that in your pre-cruise paperwork.
But double check with Passenger Services while on the cruise to be sure they have that information.

And yes, Long Beach is much easier to get to and out of than LAX.

Have just a spectacular trip. I know it will be.

Princess does have express disembarkation on many of their ships. You must be able to carry all of your luggage off.

If there is non on your cruise and you do not get the earliest disembarkation tags just go to the Purser's desk with your air line tickets and request they be changed.
