What does the dinner on Princess include for the Ultimate Dining Experience on the Balcony of a suite? How much is it and is it worth the experience?

Hello Kevin23; we have not done the Ultimate Balcony Dining for dinner, but a couple we met on Island Princess last April did and told us it was fantastic. It's everything you would get in the dining room, right on your balcony. They arranged for it at sunset when we were in Honolulu. I think they said it was $75.00 for the two of them, which to me is pretty high for a meal you basically already paid for; but I'm sure it was an anniversary they will never forget.

I think the same arrangement for breakfast was $45.00, including a split of champagne.

We have not had the balcony dinner but have had the breakfast 3 times! We reckon it was brilliant and worth every penny. The first 2 times it cost $25. Now it has gone up to $32. The whole experience makes you feel so special. I would go for it especially for a special occasion.

What was your suite like----did you enjoy the amenities?

Kevin23, I don't know if that was for me or esrosa, but I'll jump in and tell you I usually get a mini-suite. I've not yet had a full suite so I can't make a comparison. But the mini is ideal for us. The cabin is larger; you have a sitting area with a sofa and two T.V.'s (which I've never quite seen the need for), a large closet area with lots of drawers and storage space. A large bathroom with tub and shower, and a very large balcony--large enough for two regular chairs, two recliners and two tables.

We have found the regular balcony cabins ideal for 7 days; but anything longer we get a mini.

Sorry Kevin23, I'm afraid we haven't had a full suite either. I'm sure the extra luxury and attention will be worthwhile. We have always found that Princess looks after guests very well. Our favourite balconies are on Caribe deck as they are half in the shade and half in the sun. In 7 cruises with Princess we have never had a poor cabin.

esrosa makes a good point; the balconies on Caribe deck are partially covered and larger than the other balcony cabins. The minis on Dolphin deck are completely uncovered and the minis on Emerald deck are completely covered--each has advantages and disadvantages.

I'm in Cabin c750 on the Diamond---is that completely covered and what about the beam-does that effect visability?

Hi kevin23; the photo is of Sapphire Princess, but she is structurally the same as Diamond Princess. Caribe deck is the third up from the Promenade deck; you are on the left side. You are covered and the beam is in your balcony. But the balcony is wide enough it should not bother you at all. In fact that is one of the most desirable suites on the ship! Enjoy!

I don't have any of C750, but if you go to Webshots.com and key in Diamond Princess Suites in "search" you can get a pretty good idea of what it will be like.
