I am suppose to go on this cruise on Sept 30 and I am extremely worried, I just payed for this cruise on Sunday in FULL!!!

I just called them and they informed me they will continue to cruise at this time and the ship is worthy of sailing. She read a statement after she confimed my reservation number. I truly find this hard to believe at this time, who knows what is going to happen. I feel so bad for those passengers, I hope the child is okay, apprently injured with others on the ship.

Petite44,

First of all, do not panic. It is over 2 months between now and your cruise. That is a lot of time in which to resolve problems with the ship.

As I said before in other emails. I was on the July 2nd cruise (Nightmare) and I was told by several employees that the ship was rushed to get out for the inaugral cruise. The Italian unions were way behind and the employees had no time to even go on the ship before it sailed. Usually employees (especially shop) go on the boat to get acclimated and put the stores together..

First of all it's a ship not a "boat". If the ship hadn't passed it's inspections it never would have been released from the ship yard.

Also, Frase posted the following:

I heard that the Crown Princess was leaving my home port today (Pt. Canaveral) when shortly after departure, something went seriously wrong with the steering. That caused the ship to list significantly to the starboard side. 12 people were onboard Crown Princesshurt seriously. The ship had to turn around and return to Pt. Canaveral so the injured could recieve medical attention. Anyway, here is a link to the story on Yahoo:
Crown Princess Accident Seriously Injures 12

Her other posts will be moved here, as well.

Check your last......according to all the information I saw was that the steering malfunctioned and caused the list not a 'big' wave.

I would love to see some of the security camera footage from inside and outside of the ship.

Some reports this morning said that water came up to the 9th Deck on the port side! Eek
