We have sailed with Princess the last 4 years. We enjoy Princess for two reasons. First, we like the personal choice dining, where you dine when you want, not at a set time. You also are seated with different people each night which gives you the opportunity to meet all kinds of people. If you happen to meet someone you spend the rest of the cruise with, then just meet at the dining room at the same time and be seated together. Second, Princess has fresh water pools instead of salt water pools.
There are different itineraries with Princess. Also, are you looking for a 7 day or 10 day? What about the size of the ship? Do you like a larger ship with more people and more amenities, or a smaller ship with a more intimate atmosphere? Your best bet is to go to their web site. (www.princess.com) They have all of their upcoming cruises listed by date, length of cruise, ship and itinerary. Plus, it's fun looking! Let us know which few you like and I'm sure alot of people on this chat can help you through it. Enjoy!

You can't go wrong with any of the itineraries or Princess ships.

My suggestion would be the 7 day cruises that go to St. Thomas and mainly the Eastern Caribbean. These are generally the most popular ones and give lots of opportunity for a variety of excursions.

The newest ships are also the largest ships. If you are looking for more of everything onboard from dining rooms, lounges, and entertainment to balconies you will find this on one these ships. Not knowing your age group I will mention that you will find more younger people and families on these cruises than on the longer cruises on the older ships.

Hope this helps. As mentioned above check out the Princess web site for what appeals to you the most.

We're booked on the Emerald for November. It's a 10 day and the itinerary is Aruba, Bonaire, Grenada, Dominica, St. Thomas and Princess Cays. The Emerald is a sister ship to the Crown. Bonaire, Grenada and Dominica are 3 of my favorite ports. They have a great 14 day Southern Caribbean as well. This will be our 6th Princess cruise and I'm as excited as ever. Although we've been to all the ports before, the Emerald will be a new ship. We've only sailed on NCL, RCL, HAL, Costa, Carnival, and Princess, and to me Princess does it best. Best wishes and look forward to seeing what you pick!

Hi penny3333,
you crack me up when you say, "We've only sailed on NCL, RCL, HAL, Costa, Carnival, and Princess..."; I'm glad you single out Princess as the best--saves me from having to try all the others.

They're all beautiful ships. The Crown is the newest. They all have the Movies Under the Stars. I would go for the itinerary and the price. The ships would be pretty much on par with each other. On their website, you can check out each ship and compare the immenities.
http://www.princess.com/ships/ Click on the 3 you're interested in, then click on more info. It will give you a detailed list. Hope this helps! f-mattox, one day, I hope to say I've sailed them all, but I doubt I'll ever be able to afford Cunard, Crystal, Seaborn, or even Celebrity Big Grin
