Hi, We have heard that the Crown Princess has an atrium different than the "typical" Princess atrium. It is supposed to be like a street with little resturants & shops. Can anyone advise if is like this or not. The pictures make it look like a "typical" Princess atrium. Thanks Bill
The Crown Atrium is different than the other Princess ships, but, not with shops that I can recall. However, there is a place called Vines which is a wine & seafood/sushi bar, and the International Cafe that serves pasteries & coffees. They had waiters walking around with warm cookies - it was embarkation day. Not sure if that is a daily event or not.
If you go to my webshots link I have photos for you to see.
Hi Bill, I was on the Crown in JULY. The 5th floor of the atrium is different. There is a coffee bar/international caffe on one side (with free chocolate chip cookies and other treats), and the Vines restaurant (a small cafe) on the other side. The most interestint thing is that there are little 10 minute shows about every 1/2 to 1 hour during the day when you are at sea. The goal is to make the atrium a little more active during the daytime. The 6th floor is the pursers and excurisons desks, as normal. It was a great place to relax for a while if you can't take sitting out in the sun all day or want something a little different. Have a great trip.
