We are going on our first cruise ever next week to the Western Caribbean, and I am really bummed about the weather forecast. It says there will be rain and thunderstorms at every port we are going to. Is this pretty typical for June? I was thinking we would get SOME sun, but when they say this type of forecast, does that mean that we will still get sun at some parts of the trip? Never been to the Caribbean, and never on a cruise so we're pretty curious as to what we're in for!!
I hear ya on the weather forecast for next week. We are also going on a Western Caribbean out of Galveston next week. We are glad that we are not traveling this week due to the strengthening hurricane in Florida. Hopefully, most will be over by then. It did rain in Grand Cayman last year and our excursion got cancelled but hopefully not again. The rain will more than likely be hit and miss.
Most likely it will not be cloudy and raining the entire time. If the weather forecast holds, you'll probably have sun part of the time and clouds w/ some rain part of the time. Just like summer in the States...

I went to Akumal last month and there was rain in the forcast every day. I was so disapointed and worried. But got there and enjoyed every day and did not have a drop!! You can always have a good time on a cruise no matter what the weather. Have fun and relax!!!!
