The Royal Princess was previously owned by Renaissance Cruises. I sailed many times on Renaissance and enjoyed the amenities of this ship design. The Royal is the third ship of Renaissance that Princess has acquired, the Tahitian and Princess being the other two ships. These are really beautiful ships holding 700 passengers and have wonderful public rooms, 3 dining rooms as well as the buffet and bbq. For a more intimate cruising experience, you cannot go wrong. It lacks the big show lounges and numerous bars of larger ships but has an ambience and comaderie that are unique to smaller ships. I'm sure you'll have a really great cruise!
