Have you completed your Cruise Personalizer, including registering the credit card you plan to use for your onboard account? The charges don't post until the end of the cruise, but when you pre-reserve, the charges go right to your onboard accout.

We've always been able to pre-reserve at 120 days, but who knows--maybe the policy has changed. Princess should be able to give you an answer at (800)Princess; have your booking number ready.

I am not sure, but I seem to recall hearing that you cannot register for excursions until you are completely paid up. Don't know if that is the issue or not.

That has not been our experience. We pre-reserved at 120 days, but final payment wasn't due until 75 days out; then the documents arrived at about 65 days.

Well now I am truly at a loss. Only thing to do now is call Princess or your travel agent.

Not what I would call a satisfactory answer--but at least it is an answer.

Murphy123, how are you coming with the shore excursions? Today is exactly 120 days before our next cruise and the shore excursions became availabe for booking today.

Is 120 days out as far as Princess lets you book.
We just booked our Carnival excursions at 316 days out.
We now have our cruise and our excursions paid for.

Great! I'm very happy for you. Renting a car in Honolulu is certainly good; but don't forget that Honolulu has a GREAT bus system that will get you wherever you want to go, without the hassle of traffic and parking. And the people couldn't be more friendly or helpful. Just a thought.

Gary, yes; I've never been able to book farther out than 120 days. I'm curious--I've heard some say that your excursions are charged to the card you registered right away. On Princess none of your pre-reservations (excursions or spa services) post until the last day of your cruise.

We were on Princess Sun in June of 2006. When we booked our excursions on line a few month out, they did not charge our account until we were on board.
On Hal and Carnival they charge your credit card right away. At first I did not like this, but it is nice to get the $$ out of the way. On our last Carnival cruise in Oct our final sign and sail bill was under $200.00. that was nice.

Gary, I fully understand your thinking--get it out of the way as soon as possible; then the final bill is much less. I just don't like giving them my money four months ahead of time and letting them earn the interest I should be earning. I very much like Princess' recent policy of offering reduced deposit requirements on advanced bookings--sometimes by as much as 50%. That gets my attention and has even influenced some of my recent cruise decisions.
