Hi! My husband and I just booked our 4th Princess cruise which departs from LA on November 11th to the Mexican Riviera. We will be staying in LA for most of another week after the cruise. Never been to LA or these ports before. Looking for any and all information - and for fellow passengers. We are in our mid-50's and enjoy taking life easy.

Here are a few places to eat (lived there for over 20 years) that were favorites of mine:

Lawry's Prime Rib (on La Cienega Blvd)
El Cholo Mexican Restaurant (1121 S. Western)
Pink's Hot Dogs (corner of Highland and Melrose)
Fatburger (they are all over the city)
Musso & Frank Grill (6667 Hollywood Blvd)
The Original Pantry (downtown LA 8th & Figueroa)

We did this cruise about a year ago and loved it. I can't help much with LA (we stayed in Long Beach, on Queen Mary), but click here for my cruise review: Diamond P - Mexican Riviera 2005. I'm happy to answer any questions.

You guys probably do not want anymore Mexican food but look up Los Toros in LA.

Btw, our fav restaurant in Puerto Vallarta is Pipi's, amazing guacamoles and fajitas. In Cabo is Los Michiacanos if you love carnitas. We just came back from a 7d on the Diamond.
