Hello...First time in the forum and I love to cruise. Going to Tahiti for first time next May and I'm curious about the aft cabins on the Tahitian Princess (old Renaissance ship). It looks like great view, but I'm curious about excessive motion when at sea going to outer islands. I'd also like to know if the balcony cabins are so tiny that one feels cramped?....is midship minisuite a better choice? Thanks so much. J

I guess no one has been on the Tahitian Princess in the aft cabins. I would think the view is spectacular. We've only been on the Dawn, Sea and Sun, and I think the balconies were fine. We've been on the Aloha and Caribe decks in midship, so I don't know about any extra movement aft. I wouldn't think there would be much difference. When you get back, please let us know how it was. I've always wanted to do the cruise from Papeete to Sydney, but can't afford the air fare. Best wishes and have a marvelous cruise!!

We are going on the Pacific Princess (identical ship) in a few weeks. We have the room next to the owners suite at the very back. They are supposed to be the best rooms on the ship. We are looking forward to being able to relax out there rather than be up on the pool deck in the sun. We enjoy lazing doing nothing but we don't lay in the sun at all. Will let you know how it goes when we get back. This is our second time on this ship as we love the size and feel of it. Last time we had a cabin midships on the same deck and it was excellent. I suffer very badly from seasickness so I will be able to tell you exactly how much extra movement there is at the back. :-) Mummsie

We had a aft balcony on the Caribbean Princess in March. I liked it much better than a midship balcony. the views in port were better, it was neat watching the glow of the ships wake, and best of all the balcony was larger, which enabled the loungers to be totally laid out with room to spare.
