We are taking the November 11th, 14 night Caribbean cruise on the SEa Princess. I can't find many reviews written by people who have sailed her. Anyone been on her lately? How did you like her?

We were on her last November. She had just come back from running on P&O Lines. She was just as beautiful as the first time we sailed her. It wasn't the same chef on board as the first time we sailed, but the food was good. They had taken out half of the casino because they said the european crowd doesn't gamble as much. At that time, they were planning on her going back, so they said they were not going to put any more machines in. Don't know if they left it that way. The crew and staff were great. The passengers were mainly Brittish and Canadian as we boarded her in Ft. Lauderdale. The cruise had originated overseas, embarked/disembarked passengers in Canada, then embarked/disembarked passengers in Ft. Lauderdale, then embarked/disembarked passengers in Barbados. We met some really interesting people on that cruise. It was an awesome itinerary. The only problem we had was after leaving Bon Aire, we lost complete power. It was rapidly corrected, but I had never experienced total darkness on a ship before. It was fine for me, I was on the balcony drying my hair. My husband was in the shower. I just had to laugh (oops-guess I'm being mean). She's an easy ship to get around. At night, they close off one side of the buffet for the special dining room (the one they charge extra for), but we never ate in there. The food was just fine in the main dining room. We did the personal choice dining and never had a problem being seated. I might be partial because she was the first Princess ship I sailed on, but she still looks great!! Hope you have a wonderful cruise!

I believe the only luggage restriction you will have is from the airlines. I saw people boarding with copious amounts of luggage in Ft. Lauderdale. Have a wonderful cruise!
