hi PEM, not yet been on sea princess, but we have booked for next january. i know its a while off, but any feedback from your cruise in june would be much appreciated. happy cruising val
We've been on the Sea Princess twice. They have taken out half of the casino when she went back to P&O, but other than that she was as clean as when we went on her the first time. She's a smaller ship than the Caribbean or Grand, but we like that because you don't have to wait in long lines to get on and off the ship. Plus, you can find your way around easily. They have a Pizza restaurant on board that is awesome. They have personal choice dining and a steak house section (not a separate steak house as on other ships in the Princess fleet). There are plenty of nice bars, to sit and have a drink without being blasted by music. And they have clubs where you can dance till the wee hours of the morning. The food and service have always been great. The staff on both cruises were curteous and attentive. We've been on the Dawn and the Sun as well, they're sister ships. We were on the Sea last November and are going on the Sun this October. Enjoy your cruise!!
We are in March 2007 on Sea Princess in Australia for about 2 weeks. We flight from Germany to Sydney and will stay 5-6 weeks in Australia. What about clothes for dinner(dinnerjacket, robe)on Sea Princess? We have only a little baggage (20kg)free on the flight. I look forward to hearing your feedback
Welcome to the New Cruisers, PEM, mirren05, and regensburger, and hello to the venerable penny3333; I will second all of penny's remarks. My longest cruise to date (18 days) was on Sea Princess and it is one of my most memorable; Ft. Lauderdale to L.A. through the Panama Canal. I thought I might get a little bored but it was a great mix of interesting ports and long, luxurious days at sea. As penny points out, Sea Princess is smaller than the Grand Class ships, but that can be a good thing. She may not have all the bells and whistles but she is a very COMFORTABLE ship; very relaxed and easy to get around, but still with all the amenities we have come to expect from Princess. The Verdi pizza restaurant has the best pizza I've ever had--PERIOD! I love the big ships too; but I'll always have a warm place in my heart for Sea Princess. regensburger, I'm a little confused by your post as Sea Princess seems to be in the Caribbean in March '07, not Australia. But in any event, as to packing, you don't need to bring a robe--just ask your steward for one when you board. And for dinner you can get by nicely with a dark jacket, and two pair of trousers, one dark and one light.

@f-mattox Thanks for your answer. You are right, we don´t cruise with the Sea Princess; it was very late in the last night if I wright my post. We cruise on Sapphire Princess from Sydney to Auckland. Kind regards
