We booked our snorkeling excursion through the ship in Grand Turk, it was great. They had 2 stops, one for the coral and one for the fish. We didn't book the scuba, but it would be a great place for it. The water was very clear and there was lots to see. I would highly recommend for a scuba excursion to either book through the ship or make sure you know the tour operator. You have to make sure their equipment is good unless you have your own regulator. You also need to make sure there will be a dive master with you at all times if you've not done an open water dive before.
