New Cruiser
Posted
I am looking to book a cruise on the Norway in July for my honeymoon. This will be our first cruise. The cruise will be a surprise for my new bride and will be on our second week of our honeymoon. The problem that I am having is that I am not an American Citizen. I am a permanent resident and have a Green CArd. I cannot get a passport unless I become a Citizen, which I am in the process of doing. This will take up to 9 months. Is there any other documents that I can file for to get on a cruise?
I've been in the America for 25yrs and now is regretting not becoming a citizen earlier.
Is there any hope for me to get on a Cruise? Smile

Thank you for time,
Siy

Just checked out the NCL site www.ncl.com for the proof of citizenship requirements. It states:
"Permanent residents of the U.S. are required to carry their ARC cards for boarding". I would suggest also bringing along your original birth certificate from your country of origin.

Also, you need proof of identity (applicable to anyone age 16 years and older):
- valid driver's license which includes a photo
- government i.d. card including a photo and physical description.

If in doubt, call the cruise line. Sorry, don't know what an ARC card is as I'm a Canadian.

Hey! There's always hope.
