I am relieved to hear that your son is ok and that your wife doesn't have spinal damage. That is wonderful news. There is power in prayer! We will continue to pray for you and you family as you all begin the recovery process.
Dave, thank you for the update and good news. I hope you feel the strength of all our prayers. We will continue to pray for you and your wife for strength and healing. Praise the Lord that your son escaped serious injury.
Dave, Glad to hear the news. I also hope your son is doing ok emotionally. And you too!!! I have heard so many unfortunate things this week from people I know. (Today about a suicide). We never know when our life's will be changed in seconds. Stay strong and know that you have a support team of thoughts and prayers.
As tonight ends, I am feeling some relief and see a small light at the end of the tunnel. The surgeries are now over and we can move towards weaning my wife from the ventilator - a process than can take a few days. This is our next goal. Success here means a regular room and hospital food! I'll be it even tastes great after a week of IV nourishment!
Thank you all for your words of support and encouragement.
Tonight will be my first opportunity for more than a couple hours sleep since Tuesday morning. Yes. I am exhausted!
I am happy to learn of the favorable reports of recovery you have posted. Your entire family is in our thoughts and prayers for a full and quick recovery. We hope to have you all back and among us once again in the very near future!
I just read this post. I am so sorry to hear about your wife and son. I hope that they will heal and recover as quickly as possible. I am glad to hear that it was not as bad as it could have been with your wife.
Dave, my prayers are with you and your family. I am fairly new to this site, and favor your opinions dearly. It is overwhelming the amount of responses received. Just shows that us cruisers are one big happy family! Remember, you can't take care of your wife if you don't take care of yourself first. So, get that much needed rest!

Dave, Thanks so much for keeping your friends here updated on your wife's condition. I hope all of these uplifted prayers can be strength for you, that you will extend on to your wife and son. I pray angels over your family, and strength for you as you spend long hours caring for them.
Can anyone share what happened or is there a related news link to go to about the accident? Thanks!
The bottom of this page has a brief report. My wife was driving home and another vehicle ran through a stop sign at an adjoining road and t-boned my wife's vehicle.
I'm headed to the hospital again. Maybe today will bring more progress. The staff says she is doing quite well considering her extensive injuries. Thank you one and all for you kindness and good thoughts. You are helping me cope with this.
