Dave, I'm so sorry to hear the news. Since we're so close, if there's anything I can do to help, run errands, whatever, don't hesitate to ask. You and your family are in my prayers!! Hoping for a speedy recovery. Are they in Huntsville or Athens? Again, let me know if I can help in any way!!

A quick update. My wife had a halo installed today for her broken neck. Also has a broken arm and pelvis. Good news is no sign of spinal damage. Son was released from the hospital with only cuts and bruises. Long road ahead for my wife. The halo will need to be worn for about 3 months.
Penny - we are at Huntsville Hospital. She was medflighted from the accident. I appreciate your kind offer, but I have a looong list of co-workers and friends that I'll never use up! But thank you!
Everyone - I am humbled by your kind words and thoughts. I like to think we have a family of regulars here and you each mean a great deal to me.
More updates when I can. This hospital has free internet for families of critical care patients.
Dave it is good news to hear your wife has no spinal damage. God is good. We will continue to pray for you and your family. The halo will be difficult for her, but at least she is alive and she WILL recover!! Keep us posted.
Dave I work with a girl who wore a halo after breaking her neck in an accident where she was thrown from the car. She had angels as the troopers could not figure out why she lived. She was told she may never walk again but guess what, she is back to 100% and is working again. God will see you through this, your friends on Cruise Chat are praying. Im so glad I found this website, I feel like I have found friends. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY DAVE~

Good news to hear, Dave. I know your wife is in for a long recovery, but am glad to hear there is no spinal damage. If your list runs out, I work in Huntsville and drive to Trinity daily. Athens is not that far away, so the offer is still open. I know you're happy to have your son home. Y'all will still be in my prayers. Hang in there!!
Dave, I am so glad to hear that there was no spinal damage! Although there may be a long road ahead of you, with the help of God and all your friends (at home on this board) you will not be traveling the path alone. Nancy
