Before you close this thread, I want to say how thrilled I am to hear about Vanessa's progress! We were on the Radiance for 8 days beginning the day after Thanksgiving. Returned to find out that my husband's sister had passed away while we were gone, so the last two weeks have been hectic. Now we have our 4 year old grandson staying with us until Christmas! I am writing this in between doing puzzles and playing games!
I feel like we have all come to know you and your family through this thread. It's been a humbling experience as we have read about each obstacle that you have all overcome. I know that you and your family will have the merriest Christmas ever! May 2007 bring you good health and happiness!! You all deserve it!
I am so sorry to hear of your husband's sister passing. Our sister-in-law's father died a couple days before we left for a cruise three years ago. It cast a pall on the whole week.
Indeed, this has been a seemingly endless series of obstacles and challenges for us. But the hardest ones are over now, and we won each of them. We are down to physical therapy twice per week.
Nadine, I'm so sorry for your loss. Dave I'm so excited for the progress. To all of you my wish is for everyone to have a safe, warm and happy holiday season. I'll be posting when we return, however, it wont be until next year. Best wishes to all and see you next year
Great news Dave! We are so glad you and your family will be able to have a joyous holiday. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We will celebrate Christmas with our family--and for New Years, just the two of us on the high seas.
Dave, I am so happy to read that Vanessa is home and doing well. Even though I have not posted much in the past month or so, I have kept her and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
A very happy holiday to all of you!!
Chris

....and so the time comes to end this thread. My family has been blessed by the many prayers and kind thoughts that you all have so freely given. I wish we could hug each of you and give you a personal "thank you". When I first joined this forum - a little over one year ago - I had the feeling that it was a good place filled with good people. It indeed is.
My wife and son are mostly healed now. And we look forward to our life together with the knowledge that God shined His love on us and spared my wife and son on that terrible September day. God is good. Prayers are heard. Prayers are answered. Life goes on.
