Does anyone know the cost of using the internet on the ships - I'm just looking to send an e-mail back home.

it depends from cruise line to cruise line. Do you have any particular line in mind?

On Royal Caribbean ships it's $0.50 per minute.

And I would like to add, it is very slow and can get costly. The internet cafe's on the islands might be a better alternative.
