We are doing a Baltic cruise with several friends. We live in the Calif. wine country and would like to ship our own wine directly to the ship. Can we do that? The ship says we can pay corkage at dinner. We are doing this for two reasons. We know Calif wines, but don't know the European wines they sell on the ship. We also drink a lot of wine before and during dinner, so we would save money. Has anyone done this? Can you ship liquor to yourself? Will most ships accept the shipment and place it in your stateroom? How much should we tip the dinning waiter if we bring our own wine? Any other advice on this?

It would depend on the cruise line.

Oceania. Will they accept shipment via Fed Ex or US Mail?

The only way to know for sure is to contact P&O, but my hunch is that they won't accept a package for you prior to your arrival. They won't be sure you are sailing until you actually check in.

You'd probably have more luck shipping the wine to your hotel and then bringing it with you to the ship.
