I bought a Tissot watch on Grand Cayman amd got the price down a bit from what they were asking.

I agree with those who suggest buying really valuable jewellery at home (unless, of course, you can afford a risk). While on vacation just buy fun and unusual pieces that make wonderful reminders of that dream cruise.

While we are on the subject of jewellery, I would like to brag about my wonderful sister-in-law who bought me the most beautiful necklace, knowing how excited I was about my rapidly approaching cruise. As the X is Celebrity's logo, she gave me a lovely broad gold chain with a crystal X pendant and matching X shaped crystal and gold earrings. What a find and what a thoughtful gift.

I'm brand new to the board and have already learned quite a bit from the many postings.
Regarding jewelry,I have personally experienced tremendous savings on 2 watches buying in the Carib.
If you know what you are looking for and what the domestic price is you can do very well.
In October I purchased the exact David Yurman piece sold in the U.S. for $5k for $3500 in Aruba. With no tax the savings was almost $2k.

Hi jmdlv, and Welcome to Cruise-Chat!

Have also gotten some good deals. Especially on St. Thomas. It is important to deal with a reputable jeweler though. Getting recommendations from other customers has always been of great help to me.

Welcome aboard,

Dwayne
