We are new to cruising. There are 12 of us, all faternity brothers that are planning on a cruise for spring break.

We are thinking of getting a suite at the end of the ship so we have a large deck to party on. If needed we will get inside cabins for the extra bed space.

We are planning on having a pig roast on the balcony.

What would be the best way to carry the pig on the ship? We were thinking of packing it in the drum that we are using to roast it, but we also need somewhere to pack the cooking wood.

Is there refrigeration available? If not is there ice?

What about the kegs of beer? Can we get ice to keep them cold?

Are there any curfews? We would hate to break up the party too early as we would like to have some of the employees join us after they are done working.

What cruise lines would you suggest?

Thanks

Just lead the pig on. Make sure he's properly leashed and cleansed; shots are up to date. No need to bring a drum for cooking - all the cabins are equipped with one. It does get a bit messy when you do it in an inside cabin. I think the first formal night is also when you're allowed to bring the remains of your little piggy to dinner to share with the other passengers...

Actually, Heidi, I don't believe pigs are allowed in the main dining rooms on formal night (you may want to check).

Someone in the OP's party should probably bring an over door shoe holder for pig treats and things of that nature. Also, a soft sided cooler for an apple or two is a good idea IMHO.

Also re: the drum: I don't think Fantasy class vessels are equipped with drums. The quad cabins used to have drums but they were taken out when some child tried to nuke a stingray she brought on board. Once again an unsupervised child ruins it for the rest of us.

OP: good luck with your cruise!

Ah but Carlalena, I have seen many pigs in the dining rooms all nights... Big Grin

I'm cracking up from the rest of your post! I know the original post was a joke... nice to see some humor here.

Raoul, I think I did cruise that line once...

I sure hope its a joke but my guess is its not. I was in a sorority for a while and I bet he's dead serious.
I guess a moderator with a little more experience than the rest of us should shed the light on this! Wave Lol

LOL. Definitely a joke. Whole pig? Refrigeration for said pig? Kegs of beer? Drum and cooking wood to cook this little piggy on the balcony? Curfew? Joke, well written. The only mistake - Fruedian? - being "faternity" instead of "fraternity".

I'm surprised he didn't ask how to get the hookers on board and if special arrangements would be needed for them!
ThumbUp

Good catch on the "fat" Heidi - you're sharp!

Hookers on board? I didn't see that HAL catalogs! What page is it on I must have missed it.....I thought the massage it talked about was a back rub!

7thSon,

in case your posting is not an early April Fools Joke, I'm afraid you will have to abandon your idea of holding a nice BBQ onboard. You will neither be allowed to bring a pig onboard any cruise ship nor will you be allowed to handle with any kind of open fire on your balcony that goes beyond smoking a cigarette etc.

Also, the cruise line will more than likely confiscate any "kegs of beer" upon embarkation and will hand them back to you on disembarkation day. And no, you won't be able to "party with the crew" as they will get fired when caught in a passenger space.

So, if your posting is indeed serious, I would suggest to simply drop the idea of going on a cruise. Wink

Best regards,

LOL! 12 Fraternity brothers on a cruise ship during Spring Break... There will be no shortage of available college females onboard, I'm sure! You won't be at a loss for things to do; rather finding the time to do them all will be your biggest issue. Wander the decks, hit the pool and the bars. You'll meet the girls right away - some even seem to have "AVAILABLE" signs posted on their foreheads.

If you're really going, have lots of fun. Leave piggy behind - he'd get in the way in the cabin anyway. And the girls won't like you if he's cute one day, dinner the next.
