Do you have any suggestions on excursions in the Bahamas-We're leaving on May 26 on Carnival Victory and carrying our 2 kids ages 10 and 14 -they want to do the Dolphin thing but it seems so expensive Is it worth it? Any good snorkeling excursions or should you just snorkel when we dock at COCO CAY-also is it cheaper to carry your own snorkeling equiptment or just as cheap to rent it?

I am pretty sure the Carnival Victory will not be docking or tendering at Coco Cay. The itinerary is for Freeport and Nassau. We always bring our own snorkel gear when driving to a port to save the rental. If you are going to cruise and snorkel at least once a year it is worth the investment. If this is your first cruise I wouldn't worry about it, alot of the excursions include the equipment.

Hi scgirl, all of the snorkeling excursions we've booked included equipment. We have our own, but you do not get a discount for having your own gear. It's one price. Coco-Cay is a private island, but not for Carnival, unless they've changed it's Royal Caribbean's. For Nassau, I'd highly suggest grabbing a cab to the Atlantis. There's a really nice public beach adjacent to their property. If you'll search through our Caribbean Port Chat Section, by using the find feature in the upper left hand corner, you'll find lots of posts for Freeport and Nassau. Best wishes and have a wonderful cruise!
