Folks, I need your advice. My wife (36) and her girlfriend (45) and I (43) are planning a Carnival cruise for July of 03 on Carnival's Imagination. The itinerary stops at Ocho Rios & Grand Cayman and back to Miami.

My niece and her girlfriend, both 17, want to join us since there "senior" class trip was cancelled.

Now I'm a world traveler but I've never travelled with 2 teenaged girls before. I don't see this as being an issue but my sister-n-law is having fits about her daughter and her friend going and somehow being "swept-away" by some cruiseship "Romeo's" or having some harm come to them in general.

Since this will be our 1st cruise I didn't have enough info. to tell her of how safe cruiseing is.

Can someone tell me if there's an agency, book, or website that I can refer to to get info on ships and ports security.

And is there any advice you all can offer in this regard????

Be very careful on the ship. Their are alot of cruise-guys and even crew that will quickly take advantage of a teen girl given the chance.

I recomment touring the ship upon arrival and set limits on where they can and can not go. Dont even think about letting them go into the dance club.

Their are alot of family trye things to do aboard, you should limit their activities to them. I know you trust your daughter, and she is probabally a "good girl" but the tropical enviroment and very slick guys can be easily persuasive. Good luck.
