What is the best search engine/site to use to find good air fares? We do not travel by air much so never really use one. Seems like Neil or Dwayne posted one that worked well months ago. However being old I do not remember the site.
Thanks

Thanks all! This trying to find tickets is driving me nuts. Trying to go from California to Norfolk, cheap... but the wife does not want to go on a small plane.
If it were up to me, we could take a Waco (sp) the whole distance.
Thanks again for your help.

Eeeek....that's is going to be a challenge with Norfolk being the booming metropolist that it is...lol

There are full sized and small jets that fly into Norfolk. Does she object to something like a CR7, which is a jet holding about 50 people?

And, of course, it depends on what your budget is. I think there are flights that you describe in the $340 per person range. Is that too much?

Thanks Sandy, She wants a plane that holds at least 100+.
We are now booked to Norfolk,(I have a hard time with that name...we live near Northfork) for the end of July and will return 2 weeks later.
Should be nice and cool during that time frame Smile Cool
Oh well to see the Grandkids is worth it. Now to figure out what to do during that time.
BTW we did book another cruise..of sorts. The oldest son is getting married At North Shore Tahoe in June, wife just booked a dinner cruise on the Lake. Does that count?

Gary, congratulations to you and your family on your son's upcoming wedding! As for the dinner cruise -- it's still a cruise, so I'd count it. Smile

I can understand your wife's concern about the small planes. I was recently on a very bumpy ride on a 20-seater. Eek

Glad to hear you got the air booked...and no small planes, I imagine.

Happy cruising,
LisaP

Thanks Lisa
smallest plane is a 737... that should be okay with her.
We are looking forward to our Son's wedding, he is the oldest and the last to get married. He has know his future wife for 8 years and they get along great. She has even talked him into taking a cruise for their Honeymoon. Not really sure which one, I think they depart somewhere in Florida. I know it is on an RC ship.

The Tahoe area will be fun to revisit, I have not been there in years.

Thanks again
