We will gauge interest based on the poll. As with many polls, people will happily vote but when commitment time comes the level of interest goes down. We'll make an executive decision on a "go/no go" number when the poll ends and we then post possible cruise choices.
When our recent forum cruise was announced we had all sorts of interest on-line but it never materialized in the form of bookings. We ended up filling a table for 12 at dinner. That small number isn't worth going through the hassle again, as far as a group booking, t-shirts, etc.
Nothing has been announced yet about the Fantasy going to Mobile permanently to my knowledge. Not saying it couldn't happen. My gut feeling is they will move one of the Fantasy - class ships there though.

The trouble is that when a group cruise is suggested, you will probably have several members showing a interest but by the time it comes to actually pay a deposit, things have changed and although they were really keen at the beginning...various circumstances will mean they are no longer able to go. It wouldn't surprise me if you get a 40% drop out rate or more.
Also for members outside the USA, it is more expensive when you add the costs of flying from Europe.
For those who do go, they will appreciate the effort it takes organise a group cruise.
I think your questionaire is a good idea and hope that it narrows down the choices for a group cruise.

Maybe we can all get together and book ourselves one of those NCL Garden Villas (4-5,000 sq ft.) With rollout beds we could fill the accomodations and have ourselves a grand ole time! Bet it would still cost our arms and legs though!
Only those booked with the group will be allowed to attend forum activities, get t-shirts, etc. This is standard policy for things like this. We have no idea about pricing at this point. It depends on the cruise and number of bookings.
There may or may not be any savings, depending on the ship/date/other things. But folks interested in going on a Cruise-Chat cruise are not doing it to save money. The whole idea is to meet each other and cruise together.
There were 2 itineraries I was really interested in. One included Belize and Roatan, I think it was the Liberty and one was the Triumph (I believe). We've only booked the Solstice for next year, so far. I'm waiting to see if we can have another Cruise-Chat cruise before booking anything else. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and it was so much fun going snorkeling together. Four days was just not long enough though. I love 10-14 days, but 7 is what most people can get away for. Seven surely beats 4
