xxblackwave96xx,

welcome to Cruise-Chat.com.

I'm not an expert when it comes to "boats", but on my web site you will find a list of the 20 largest cruise ships: Visit http://english.ruderhaus.de/ and choose one of the three "TOP 20 Cruise Ships" lists (by gross tonnage, length or passenger capacity).

Best regards,

Raoul Fiebig

Well, when I hear "boat" I think "submarine," as my Dad was working at Electric Boat when I was born. Obviously, most people mean motorboat. is it like nails on a blackboard to me? No. I think as long as you know what what the poster is referring to you are all set.

That is until California gets shaken off the continent (after the "big one") and it becomes the largest anything afloat.

That should satisfy everyone with a size fetish! Eek

I was invited to the Captain's table on the Adventure in February and someone at the table used the expression "boat" when asking the Captain a question about his SHIP. He was cool with it, but I did detect a smerk on his face.

Just because a ship doesn't have acivities to your particular liking doesn't mean it's not a fun ship to be on. Next time talk with a Travel Agent and tell them what your looking for in the line of activities.

I agree with cruise fanatic it all depends what you are looking for and what you expect. I have had loads of fun on each Carnival ship I have sailed on more so than my only experience on RCL.

CCL Elation 2000
CCL Ecstasy 2001

That Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas looks big and exiting, 90 ft. longer than the last largest ones they built, I think this one is now the largest isn't it? Only problem is that the intinerary is too common. (Western Caribbean) Been to all the ports it goes to several times now, if I have to go back to the same ones again, I'd rather not, but for someone going for the first time on them it looks like a beautiful ship.

Bdog: Really? Carnival over RCL? Must have had an older ship. I haven't been on a Carnival yet. There's a cruise out of Pt. Canaveral that goes for 5 nights to Turks and Caicos, St. Thomas & Half Moon Cay I believe. I almost booked that one this past spring for close to $300 pp, but then got too busy at work. Love Half Moon Cay, went there on a Holland America stop and we loved it.
