Is anyone else aware just how Celebrity's prices vary for the same cabin booked at the same time on the same sailing but booked from different countries?
If you go into to Celebrity's website (www.celebritycruises.com) and tell it you are from Iran or Iraq it will quote you a price thousands of dollars less than if you are from the US. Obviously celebrity rightly vary prices according to demand, but why should people in many parts of the world be able to buy the same product cheaper than Americans?? For the same category 3 cabin on the same cruise on Millennium prices varied from $6,500 (North Korea) to $14,500 (England)
My tip is to book not book with celebrity until they sort their act out - or if you are in Europe book through their French agent Latitude Sud - its thousands of dollars cheaper and European Union law says they have to make the same offers available to all EU citizens.

There's no need to post this on as many sites as you did. Are you sure you're figuring conversion rates properly? I happen to think Celebrity gives excellent service, as well as food. Obviously, you haven't sailed on Celebrity, as the entertainment is extremely patriotic. I'm just very curious as to what stateroom you're looking at at, on which ship, and which cruise. We sailed the Constellation last Summer, will do so again in 2 months, and the Infinity for 2 weeks in South America next February. Our cost isn't anything like you mentioned, and quite frankly, the way that you approach it appears quite deceiving. Fill us all in please!!
The price is for two adults and a child in a FV room (cat 3) on the Millennium (cruise only) sailing on the 28th June. I give you a further example below
A Constellation cruise on the 24th May 2003 the prices on the websites today (15th May 2003) for England, France and the US (all for two people cruise only) are as follows:
England: Sky Suite - $12,412 (£7,758) Royal Suite $15,516 (£9,698) France: Sky Suite - $4,848 (4,216 euros) Royal Suite $9,664 (8,404 euros) US: Sky Suite - $12,000 Royal Suite $15,000
How can they justify Americans and Brits paying 250% surcharges??
